Book your SIV course in Annecy now and enjoy a unique experience to achieve your paragliding goals.

What level is required for the piloting course?
The pilot must be autonomous during takeoff with and without wind (0 km/h to 20 km/h), and also with a slight crosswind. As for landing, it is important to be comfortable regardless of size (the SIV landing at the end of the lake is relatively small and enclosed) and to master drift (ground trajectory / air trajectory) throughout the approach. Mastering these parameters is a clear advantage for a calm and safe landing, especially after a series of guided exercises that could potentially cause strong emotions.
Material prerequisites for the SIV course in Annecy.
To participate in our SIV course in Annecy, participants must have certified paragliding equipment, including:
A wing, a helmet, a harness, and a reserve parachute packed within the last 6 months (wing and reserve within the PTV range).
In addition, each pilot must have a valid F.F.V.L. license.

The FLY SAFE pedagogy
FLY SAFE implements all the human and material resources to ensure that pilots reach their goals and are fully satisfied with their progress during their SIV internship in Annecy.
The FLY SAFE team is a young and dynamic group, passionate about a variety of aerial and sports activities: paragliding, speed-riding, speed-flying, skiing, snowboarding, kite surfing, skydiving, base jumping, and more. In addition to teaching paragliding, Omar, one of our instructors, also teaches speed-flying in winter at Val-Fréjus.
The practice of these various disciplines gives the team a comprehensive view of flying and its practice, while allowing the instructors to constantly challenge themselves, both as pilots and in their teaching methods. This mindset is at the heart of our SIV internship in Annecy, where the focus is on the human factor, a crucial element for the progress of each pilot.
The exercises, tailored to each individual’s level, are carefully briefed and debriefed, mentally prepared, and sometimes implemented using a crane to facilitate their execution in flight.
With this progressive and safe approach, the goals are achieved with complete peace of mind, with a systematic validation of the prerequisites before each step.
We know that SIV internships can be long and demanding, with classroom hours that, although very enriching, can sometimes feel tiring after long flight days. That’s why FLY SAFE offers real-time debriefings after landing, between flights, using videos recorded just minutes earlier and directly connected to a computer.
These videos can also be used for a second debriefing at the end of the day for pilots who wish to further analyze their performance.
By choosing the SIV internship in Annecy with FLY SAFE, you benefit from a comprehensive experience that combines safety, technical progression, and the joy of flying, all in an exceptional setting.
Outline of the SIV course in Annecy.
During the course
You will have a meeting the day before in the late afternoon (attendance is mandatory) at Camping Le Polé, located at 1430 Rte du Bout du Lac, 74210 Lathuile, at the FLY SAFE tent. It is highly recommended to book your accommodation at the campsite for comfort and logistical ease.
Student welcome and briefing: exploring and defining everyone’s expectations and needs. Checking each person’s equipment, especially the reserve parachute and its proper deployment. The necessary equipment for your safe progression above the lake will be provided (radios, earpieces, life vests).
During the flying days, after a theoretical explanation of the exercises by our team, you will take action over the water. Our starter, Paul, will be present at takeoff to remind you of the different exercises and answer any questions you may have. Throughout your maneuvers, you will be guided with a radio/earpiece system: the instructor in the safety boat will provide you with explanations and corrections throughout your flight over the lake. All your exercises from all your flights will be recorded. Finally, your exercises will be reviewed in a daily video debriefing in the classroom by our instructor.
